Booking
After a quick phone chat, we’ll schedule a Zoom meeting to discuss your vision. One of our ensemble members will guide you through everything.

Deposit
Once you’ve confirmed, we’ll send you an agreement and request a deposit to lock in the booking. Once both are received, your booking is secure.

Pre-Event Planning
We’ll keep in touch leading up to the event to refine your music selections, discuss performance times, and share practical tips for a smooth experience. You’ll receive the final invoice two weeks before the big day.
The New String Collective plays Bridgerton! Our players are of the finest in the country and will enrich your event with fabulous live music.
Is your favourite number not on the repertoire list? We grant two requests per ceremony to make your day complete.
Frequently asked questions
How many pieces do you play during a wedding ceremony?
That is entirely up to you. Usually during the entrance of the bride, during the signing and when the couple leave, but often an extra piece is added for the flow.
Do you only play acoustically?
Well, we prefer to play acoustically, but should you require amplification (and provide it) we will happily comply 🙂
Can you play outside?
Yes! But we do need to play in the shade to prevent damage to the instruments, and there can be absolutely no threat of rain, or sufficient shelter must be provided.
Can you move around?
Certainly! Sometimes that is also neccesary to avoid direct sunlight; we could use a little help with the chairs.
How much time do you need to set up?
We arrive 45 minutes before playing; setting up is pretty quick especially if chairs (without arms) are already in place.
What do you need on the day?
- a space to change
- 4 armless chairs
- enough space to play
- if possible, a cold light lunch/snack between two sets
Do you always play with the same players?
Chamber music is our forte; because all of us are seasoned (orchestral) musicians and play together regularly, we will always have a back-up player, also in case of illness.
